Pros

-Unlimited PTO -Work from home -Commission -Paid $100 of phone bill -Gave us weekly lunch credit on Grubhub. It was $18 which hardly covers one lunch after the Grubhub delivery fees. They increased it to $30 a week a few weeks before I left the company. -Low metrics required

Cons

-HORRIBLE communication to employees -$35k base salary -Unrealistic goals were made out of thin air for a product that had never existed before -Had my team sell a product that was incomplete, which we had to sell unrealistic expectations to clients -Grubhub has terrible customer service for their clients. Clients are sent to a 3rd party call center that can not give answer and only can cancel orders. -Never met my team -Never felt apart of the company -Stock drop -Marketing needs to really step it up

Pros

I appreciated the flexibility, which made it an ideal gig as a parent balancing busy schedules. The instant daily cash-out feature is helpful for managing tight finances during difficult times. I personally found the day-to-day work enjoyable, offering daily opportunities to meet diverse people and discover interesting local restaurants. Before COVID I was actually able to utilize business deliveries for networking to obtain clients for my photo both business.

Cons

Grubhub fails to honor its own guidelines and penalizes its top-performing drivers. Work is highly inconsistent; the higher your stats, the fewer (and worse) offers you receive, making financial momentum impossible. The role also carries high safety risks, forcing drivers to rush through traffic under strict time constraints. The company lacks basic empathy and support during emergencies. After a traffic accident on the job, Grubhub showed zero concern for my safety. Instead, their rigid automation penalized my driver metrics for missed offers because I was physically unable to update my app status while handling the collision. To top it off, the final straw was receiving an automated email accusing me of "abusing the system" simply for qualifying for the guaranteed Grubhub contributions I rightfully earned.
