Pros

Great coworkers, great location, catered lunches a couple times a month, young environment.

Cons

Working at GrubHub is depressing. Even top performers with great territories are looking for positions elsewhere. A few months ago, a glowing review was posted about how great it was to work at GrubHub and people around the office were taking guesses at which manager posted the fake review. Employees are not rewarded for hard work and do not expect any career advancement. Your job is constantly on the line--you could have one month where you double quota, and the next couple months, if you miss quota by even 1 sale, you're fired. No job security and it doesn't matter how long you've been there or how well you have done during your tenure. Top performers have been fired for being late. You put in your 6 months- year, and it's time to find something else. I've never been so unhappy and unfulfilled at a position

Pros

I appreciated the flexibility, which made it an ideal gig as a parent balancing busy schedules. The instant daily cash-out feature is helpful for managing tight finances during difficult times. I personally found the day-to-day work enjoyable, offering daily opportunities to meet diverse people and discover interesting local restaurants. Before COVID I was actually able to utilize business deliveries for networking to obtain clients for my photo both business.

Cons

Grubhub fails to honor its own guidelines and penalizes its top-performing drivers. Work is highly inconsistent; the higher your stats, the fewer (and worse) offers you receive, making financial momentum impossible. The role also carries high safety risks, forcing drivers to rush through traffic under strict time constraints. The company lacks basic empathy and support during emergencies. After a traffic accident on the job, Grubhub showed zero concern for my safety. Instead, their rigid automation penalized my driver metrics for missed offers because I was physically unable to update my app status while handling the collision. To top it off, the final straw was receiving an automated email accusing me of "abusing the system" simply for qualifying for the guaranteed Grubhub contributions I rightfully earned.
