Pros

Nice campus and weekends off.

Cons

Pittsfield MA office culture is to only extends management opportunities to relatives of one another or those who are having relationships with management. You can have several college degrees yet be managed by someone without a high school diploma. Be careful discussing anything with local HR representative as nothing remains confidential including medical information. Everything provided to your direct manager, as well as if you’re seeking for advice how to maintain your relationship with him/her. Everything is brought back to your particular manager by HR with a skewed viewpoint. If you say anything that criticizes a manager to HR you will immediately be reprimanded, with the help of HR, to the point you are forced out or fired. It appears there is no management of local HR representative.

Pros

Flexibility, excellent work life balance, casual environment, easy to use PTO. Benefits: health, dental, STD/ACC, vision, 401k are excellent

Cons

Pay is much below the standard for the position, raises and bonuses are minimal and hardly reflect the effort that is required to maintain positive metrics/meet goals. Case managers' responsibility is at a max and we often feel overwhelmed by the workload and expectations of management. Case managers are often responsible for tasks outside of the important things that have an effect of the claim
