Pros

This is one of the few companies I know of that still has a pension program, so that's fairly significant. They've also started emphasizing employee health recently- mostly because the company tends to be both older and less healthy than average- so it will hopefully result in some decent perks. The time off policy is fairly generous at 14 vacation days per year to start, and I think you start getting more time at 5 years of service.

Cons

There seems to be a culture of "fire drills"- many requests come in from senior management and everything needs to be dropped to take care of this as soon as humanly possible. This, of course, tends to result in both mistakes on the fire drill and sometimes missed deadlines for the day-to-day work, which reflects poorly. It can be frustrating to work in such a reactive (rather than proactive) environment.

Pros

Flexibility, excellent work life balance, casual environment, easy to use PTO. Benefits: health, dental, STD/ACC, vision, 401k are excellent

Cons

Pay is much below the standard for the position, raises and bonuses are minimal and hardly reflect the effort that is required to maintain positive metrics/meet goals. Case managers' responsibility is at a max and we often feel overwhelmed by the workload and expectations of management. Case managers are often responsible for tasks outside of the important things that have an effect of the claim
