Pros

- employee discount: 40% off regular price items and 20% off permanently marked down sale items. There are also employee 50 weekend every time there is a new floor set or whenever they feel liking giving it to you and you get 50% off everything. Their clothes are finally affordable! - sales associates and assistant managers receive an extra $1 per hour if the store makes target for the day :) - managers are usually pretty cool. even if they do have favorites, they don't treat them any differently than other associates - for dress code.. it's really flexible. Girls can wear heels, boots, flats, or even flip flops. I love how I can dress up and go to work with the same outfit I would go clubbing with. - I love dressing up and helping customers look good! - there is sick pay even for part time sales associates after working there for a year!** (this boost up my rating from 1 star to 2 stars)

Cons

- the high sales goal they have for every associate. it intimidates and stresses out people. People constantly fight over sales (at least in my store). - co-workers SUCK. they are supposed to the best part of any job, but not for this one. in the beginning, they are extremely nice to you. later, if you end up with higher sales than them, they turn fake on you and talk behind your back. - scheduling is done based on your sales per hour (sph). If your sph was bad last week, expect closing shifts this week. Unless you're the best seller in the store, expect to close one or two days a week. - ^ things changed a little. i am one of the highest sellers in the stores but i still have to close as much as the sellers with the lowest sph. this isn't fair on my part. - they tell you during orientation that if you're sick, Guess will find someone to cover for you. but when you actually do get sick, they tell you otherwise that YOU have to find someone to cover. if you get sick during your shift, don't expect to be able to leave early. Even if a family member passed away or if you have a random exam that day, that's "still not a good enough excuse to call out." - managers rushes you during closing - everything has to be perfect and you have to be quick or they get frustrated because they want to go home. like relax. - worked there for almost 2 years now and still no raise. i get paid the same wage as others without any retail experience when i have two years of previous retail experience. RIDICULOUS. - too much walking. be prepared to nurse your red, sore feet everyday after work. - too many selling rules. "TAG"? gets annoying. - despise how managers push you to sell if the store is far behind target/ LY. Look, there's no one in the store -- how the heck can I push people to buy clothes if no one is here?

Pros

Great building, professional people, great offices.

Cons

Must be on time; it is very strict. Click girls' high school environment: if you are new, no one cares for you to guide you. They dump their work onto you, and since you are new, there is nothing one can say. Mid-level managers act as if they own the place. If you want to work there, make sure to be prepared to be alone for a long time; no real sense of team, just a worker environment clocking in to get in and out. No real training just swim or drown approach.
