Pros
Works well as a part-time position for income in high school or college. Tends to start at a competitive rate, too!
Cons
No commission on sales and hour cuts are random; management will not notify you ahead of time, so prepare to get a second job if you plan on relying on this for a steady income. Employee discount is non-competitive. Company direction and mission are sometimes inconsistent with business practices. Few options for advancement within the company; many sales associates have been employed for over two years without a raise or increase in benefits. Employee responsibilities are inconsistent with the job description and management will often delegate their tasks to associates. Corporate lacks trust in associates and frontline management; frequent camera reviews, LP meetings, and unnecessary redundancies in procedure to be expected. Management rarely onboards new employees in accordance with company policy. Management will forget breaks if you do not ask, and policy around break times and lengths is inconsistent.
