Pros

-Easy work -Good place to get comfortable on the phone, with cold-calling, reaching out to people, using databases (internal Guidepoint database, LinkedIn, CapIQ). -Good place to kick-start your career, especially as a foreigner with limited German language skills. Your multilingual skills are your greatest asset here. -Good place to learn how to communicate with clients over email and phone (almost no opportunities to meet clients in person, unless you are in the non-operations team). -Colleagues are great! Most of them are genuinely nice people who are fun to work with. -International work environment with colleagues from 25+ nationalities -Young team, plenty of outside events and team-building events -Relaxed working environment -Multilingual environment -Open-space office with a great culture of colleagues collaborating/ helping each other -Company is pretty transparent in terms of growth and performance: weekly and monthly progress is always shared with the whole office. -Nice office location with a huge and quiet garden to enjoy the sun during the summer -Open door policy where HR and Management are easily accessible when you need them

Cons

-At times unprofessional -Work is boring and extremely monotonous after the first month. Anyone could do this job with a bit of training. -One does not gain hard skills that can be used in other industries. If you want to transition later in your career, your best chances are in the HR field. Otherwise, expect starting in a junior position in any other field. I wouldn't recommend staying here too long if you are serious about learning and developing your career. -Low pay. Unless you become a Research/ Project Manager, Team Lead, or work in the non-operations team, expect low pay. In other words, the „Associate“ position is the worst at Guidepoint. -Too much emphasis on numbers and results rather than on employee motivation and work attitude -Not enough learning opportunities, other than the initial on-boarding process during the first week -Rules are made when it best suits management, then changed when it suits them again. If you refer a colleague and they get hired, make sure you get everything in writing, otherwise you will be denied your compensation.

Pros

the only pros are the salary and two hybrid days

Cons

Do not take a job with Guidepoint, even if you were a strong student in college and consider yourself a hard worker. The project managers are fine, but the team leads are awful. You won’t learn any tangible skills; the work largely consists of reaching out to people on LinkedIn for hours on end. On top of that, they will let people go very easily. Stay away from this company.
