Good first job, but stayed for the people - Project Manager Guidepoint Employee Review

Pros

I first started here as a Research Analyst. It was a good first job out of undergrad. The company is growing at a high rate, and with the relatively high turnover, there is opportunity for fast promotions. You can quickly gain skills in project management, client relationships, and other soft skills that are transferable to any management job. But in my opinion, the best part of the job was collaboratively working (and venting) with people my age. It was a good first job, but I stayed for the people.

Cons

- The lack of diversity - Slow response from leadership (if any) to employee feedback - Varying work standards and expectation between different teams

Pros

the only pros are the salary and two hybrid days

Cons

Do not take a job with Guidepoint, even if you were a strong student in college and consider yourself a hard worker. The project managers are fine, but the team leads are awful. You won’t learn any tangible skills; the work largely consists of reaching out to people on LinkedIn for hours on end. On top of that, they will let people go very easily. Stay away from this company.
