Pros

Decent pay for geographical area. Benefits are above average. Interesting cutting edge technology in some departments. The workforce generally wants to do a good job regardless of what area or department they work in.

Cons

Training and/or advancement are totally dependent on what department you work in and if management likes you on a personal level. Lean six sigma is considered the holy grail of efficiency for all processes. A golden bullet if you will. Training, experience and skill are less important to your advancement than the ability to "suck up" to management in many departments.

Pros

-Work in an air conditioned hangar! -All the tools and support needed to do the job -Excellent training available -Good safety culture -Fairly easy work -Lots of opportunities to grow

Cons

Big corporate politics at times. Some people just love to point fingers. Rules that are very excessive due to incompetence, instead of just firing morons.

Pros

Gulfstream is a good company, I would come back to it. Can be a fantastic work life balance. PTO and benefits are decent. Can be an excellent career builder if you have connections and play your cards right. They can pay for your masters. Self-starters are rewarded and recognized,

Cons

-Ultimately, your experience heavily depends on your specific group—and some can be incredibly profane and toxic. If you are trying to implement an improvement but it doesn't agree with leadership, you can be harassed. -You might find yourself fourth in a long line for a position that only opens once a year; many jobs already have a person picked before they are ever posted. This isn't new information.
