Pros

There is a lot of growth potential to be had at Gulfstream. Our current CEO started his career on the floor and worked his way up. I have promoted pretty fast within the company my self.

Cons

1. Mandatory overtime! 2. Like any large company, your raw skills are not enough to get you promoted. You have to develop soft skills, network, and build relationships to stand out from the crowd. 3. Compensation is mid depending on your position. Aviation wise compensation is pretty low for techs in the repair stations as compared to the earning potential in the airline industry, however Gulfstream is not in the airline industry, they are a manufacturer.

Pros

-Work in an air conditioned hangar! -All the tools and support needed to do the job -Excellent training available -Good safety culture -Fairly easy work -Lots of opportunities to grow

Cons

Big corporate politics at times. Some people just love to point fingers. Rules that are very excessive due to incompetence, instead of just firing morons.

Pros

PTO policy is pretty straight forward and a decent amount of time. If you’re right out of high school or your only desire is to turn wrenches you’re entire life, this place is for you. Three day weekends.

Cons

There is no mobility. They can’t find mechanics so if you are one, they will keep you there at all costs. They fully rely on the good old boy system. The people that are in management positions, especially at West Palm, do not care about anything other than staying where they are and using what little power they think they have. Management is very customer focused but forget their employees. Health benefits are seriously lacking.
