Pros
Today I celebrate my two year anniversary of working at Gymshark. And in my career, it's the longest I've stayed at any company. I've always gotten bored in jobs very quickly, through either lack of being challenged, feeling underappreciated or not supported, which has always led me to look elsewhere. I can honestly say that after two years of working at Gymshark, I'm still as happy as I was on day one. I was nervous about joining this unicorn influencer brand. I thought it would be run by lots of egos, how pleasantly surprised I was to find out this wasn't the case. The young mindset of this brand is so refreshing. They understand how a business should be run in the 21st century, and more importantly they understand how to keep their employees happy. I have the most supportive line manager in the world, and when I was struggling recently with my mental health (because of personal circumstance), my manager and the company couldn't have done any more to support me, give me some needed time off and proceeded to check in with me whilst I was off to see if there was anything they could do to further support me. It's reasons like this which keep me happy, content and loyal to Gymshark. Sure, the perks, flexibility and 50% discount are a massive plus - but to me, it's this level of unconditional support and help which means more to me than any 'competitive salary'. Best decision I ever made was accepting that job offer two years ago. Here's to many more years with the best brand ever.
