Dull/Political Work Environment - Anonymous employee H.B. Fuller Employee Review

This review is for the lab function of the company: There's nothing particularly interesting about working at H.B. Fuller. You would hope with such a dull, inspiring product to sell that management would find ways to keep employees motivated and engaged, but such is not the case. Lab supervisors are chosen as a reward for their technical accomplishments and CVs rather than their leadership skills. What you have as a result is a terribly discouraged workforce with documented low morale. Because their is so little purpose in the work and so little effort made at the management level to elevate the employee experience, the H.B. Fuller work environment is highly politicized, as jockeying for position is the only meaningful activity of any interest to be had. You'll find yourself more surviving than thriving at H.B. Fuller. I would suggest that you look elsewhere for employment in today's hot employment market - you can and will do much better.
