Pros

Pay is decent if you are a college student or have no other options left. Plenty of opportunities to grow if you want to, but it really depends on the location and whoever is in charge.

Cons

Switching between locations is basically like interviewing all over again, very annoying. No low level role at heb requires 2-3 rounds of interviewing. Depending on what store you’re at the management can either be really good or horrendous. Honestly a physically and mentally taxing job, I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you’re going to be put on the street.

Cons

NO FULL-TIME OFFER! The recruitment process at H-E-B Digital is deeply frustrating and appears to lack integrity. Despite having relevant internship experience and receiving positive feedback during the interview process, I found that the company’s hiring strategy seems entirely reliant on prioritizing individuals recently laid off from FAANG companies. It feels as though they are not genuinely interested in developing new talent or giving equal consideration to qualified candidates who don't fit that specific profile. Advice for Management: Be transparent with applicants regarding your hiring criteria. It is demoralizing to waste time and emotional energy interviewing when the process feels like a box-checking exercise. If you are not actually hiring, do not string candidates along with positive feedback. The current approach reflects poorly on the company’s values and brand. Recommendation: If you are not a recent layoff from a major tech firm, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It appears to be their business model to prioritize those specific candidates over others, regardless of your personal qualifications or positive performance during interviews.
