Pros

Decent hours, I guess. The health insurance and 401k are good.

Cons

Management doesn’t treat you like people or even acknowledge you unless they have grievances. The company has totally lost their family vibe. They’ve become greedy and have shortened their staff TOO much while increasing workload almost threefold. HEB artificially inflates prices just to hit these yearly goals with price jumps of 20-70% for no reason and yet the raises they offer employees are kind of a joke. Chic fil A workers make more. They also expect you to be available ALL DAY if their trucks don’t show up on time. Sometimes they’re six hours late and you’re expected to come back to work at 2 pm and work for five hours when you clocked in at 6 am and were sent home. I shouldn’t have to commit my entire day to work. You get eight hours.

Pros

10% off HEB stuff. That's it...

Cons

NO FULL-TIME OFFER! The recruitment process at H-E-B Digital is deeply frustrating and appears to lack integrity. Despite having relevant internship experience and receiving positive feedback during the interview process, I found that the company’s hiring strategy seems entirely reliant on prioritizing individuals recently laid off from FAANG companies. It feels as though they are not genuinely interested in developing new talent or giving equal consideration to qualified candidates who don't fit that specific profile. Advice for Management: Be transparent with applicants regarding your hiring criteria. It is demoralizing to waste time and emotional energy interviewing when the process feels like a box-checking exercise. If you are not actually hiring, do not string candidates along with positive feedback. The current approach reflects poorly on the company’s values and brand. Recommendation: If you are not a recent layoff from a major tech firm, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It appears to be their business model to prioritize those specific candidates over others, regardless of your personal qualifications or positive performance during interviews.
