Pros

During the TIMCO days this was a decent place. Liner Service division was a $$ maker and enjoyable. There use to be opportunities for advancement. Talent was recognized and awarded for. Folks use to get along. Now in the HAECO years it’s totally different and the culture has done a 180.

Cons

The switch to HAECO saw a huge change. The Alaska airlines PM was a former aircraft painter and became a project manger who was easily intimidated by talent. Thick knee pads gets you ahead nowadays. Raw talent does not.

Pros

It was a great company to work for.

Cons

There was some compliance issues that needed to be addressed. Some of the old mechanics were used to doing things the way they "had always done them" same thing with training and other managers rather than reading the manuals so it led to customer issues. It could have definitely been avoided. AAR Corp took over and just laid off all the good people who were trying to make positive changes rather than interviewing anyone. So now they are stuck with all the ones that are in that "lets keep doing it the way we have always done it mindset". If they dont sell it or break it down for parts - I will be surprised.
