Pros
Steve Young CEO is gifted at encouraging employees. Administration (Human Resources ) under Steve's leadership strive to stay connected with their employees; particularly during the first 90 days. I feel empowered and listened to knowing my shared contributions are considered to make Blake an even more enjoyable experience to work. We all have choices of where to bring our gifts and talents. A universal need of people is to feel valued. I felt very accepted by Steve as I shared diversity to consider ideas from my input surrounding management and other discipline teams coming together. Blake has periodic and frequent check ins with newcomers. Steve is gifted in understanding the needs and emotions of staff. Steve recognizes with any new job comes with it a level of excitement mixed with anxiety during adjustment. Stave has an open heart to really listen to new (and old) team members who vulnerably share any hiccups they may have had as they settle in. Administration is committed to not just leave you on your own once hired. I have been a nurse for over 30 years and have not experienced such a dedicated leadership office under the umbrella of a CEO as caring as Steve. Steve has a lovely demeanor and an ability to connect with his staff. Steve has no walls built around him as he encourages staff to be transparent and feel welcome to share what it is that can make the ir experience all the better. Stave demonstrates genuine heartfelt compassion and concern for the well-being not only of the patients but for the staff who provide care for the community and choose to work at Blake.
Cons
Keep open the lines of communication when sharing is in progress. Educate on proper etiquette when there may be disagreement or harsh tone on the floor with another department. In other words, remain respectful and kind.
