Pros
Majority of colleagues are easy to get along with and care about doing a good job. Everything is about the member and employees do their best to ensure they are cared for and are placed first when making decisions that impact them. 401k matching up to a certain percent though you need to work at least 10 years before being fully vested. They also will help your professional development by getting training classes led by outside companies, such as Microsoft, though this doesn't happen often.
Cons
HMSA will suck whatever they can from you while paying below average wages because "they're a non-profit". Outsourcing of work creates more headaches for those actually employed by HMSA. Some managers like to micromanage your daily duties. Forced employees to be vaccinated for COVID and would not allow for personal choice, even when employees made the offer to pay for testing out of their own pocket.
