Pros

You get to work on diverse projects and tasks, from manual testing to system administration and automated testing, which can provide a varied and challenging work experience. Developing technical documentation can enhance your communication and documentation skills. Working with different programming languages and tools can expand your technical skills and make you a more versatile IT professional.

Cons

A construction firm that doesn't do many IT contracts may not have a well-established IT department, which can lead to a lack of support and resources for IT professionals. You may be the only IT professional in your team or department with real knowledge or experience, which can lead to a lack of mentorship and opportunities for growth. Working with outdated technology may limit your ability to work on cutting-edge projects or develop your technical skills.

Pros

While the culture varies by office, I found the California offices to have a very friendly, collaborative, and energetic atmosphere. The company also puts genuine effort into its internal events, consistently investing time and resources to make them well organized and enjoyable for employees. In addition, there is a strong culture of continuous learning. Employees are encouraged to develop new skills, and the company provides meaningful support for professional growth and ongoing development.

Cons

It used to be a great company, but its rapid expansion has made the organization feel less structured and less efficient. Compared with many other firms, the workload is exceptionally heavy, and there is a strong expectation that employees will work through long, exhausting hours to meet demanding deadlines. Performance expectations are also very high. As a result, employee turnover is significant, and it is not uncommon for people to leave or even return to their previous employers.
