Pros

Most of the people working their are creative individuals who are easy to get along with , hang out with, and collaborate with in general.

Cons

They are still trying to figure out what works best for THEM as a company so as an operations specialist you are literally at the bottom of the barrel of the company. They want you to take the brunt of all of their technical errors, including outsourcing most of their work to LiveOps representatives who they have admittedly said had little to zero training, so that ends up falling back into being an operation specialists problem. The contract with Farmers was lucrative for them, but in turn they cut the unlimited sick and PTO time for employees with an explanation that said something along the lines of " Our employees seem to feel uncomfortable with how much time is a good amount of time to take, so we chopped it down to regular CA state mandated requirements." I call BS. The insurance deductibles went from copays to percentages. (more money for the employee). They love keeping a diverse crowd at the bottom of the pit, maybe let them get up to conductor status, but appropriate the hell out of urban culture, even just for simple things like training modules. "Issa Training"....really Honk? How about Issa appropriate pay wage for the cost of living in LA....or having a scheduling and HR team large enough to not short people HUNDREDS of dollars on their checks consecutively due to minor error.

Pros

I was the fifth employee at HONK Technologies. We started in a small Santa Monica office with a bold vision to modernize a century-old industry. During my tenure, we raised more than $60M, signed Farmers Insurance as a client, and scaled revenue past $300M. It was one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career. I worked with some of the smartest, most creative teammates who pushed me to excel every day. Matt Bijur was a phenomenal manager who led by example and was a tremendous problem solver. CEO Corey Brundage is an exceptional, accessible leader with an effective data-driven approach to product and business decisions. I genuinely looked forward to coming to work each day because I liked the people is was working with and was excited about the change we were creating in the automotive industry.

Cons

All positive, keep up the good work.
