Pros

The company offers career development opportunities for individuals who demonstrate initiative and possess the necessary skills. While academic qualifications are considered, the company also values a strong track record of achievement and the ability to contribute value.

Cons

There seems to be a disconnect between required in-office presence and job duties for some positions. This in office policy may inadvertently lead to increased workload and longer hours for salaried employees, potentially impacting work-life balance and overall well-being. We have observed instances where the current scheduling practices may not adequately accommodate employee needs, particularly those related to mental healthcare appointments. A flexible scheduling approach could foster a more supportive work environment but management at this point hasn't accepted that concept for many in the services portion of the industry. Furthermore, concerns have been raised regarding compensation levels for experienced staff. Experience or education doesn't have an impact on the base salary wages of any employees. However, education is the only way to advance within the company. Additionally, the company's commitment to environmental initiatives ("going green") appears to be overshadowed by potential public relations strategies. Management is unable to maintain a proper narrative year to year and provide less when more. Communication is faulty and unavailable for most and causes a rift among the people.

Pros

Diverse workforce, operating in over 150 countries, providing vast opportunities for career mobility and specialty niche changes, if desired. Very low employee turn-over with a high number of personnel staying decades and ultimately retiring from the company. Committed to high ethical standards, strong privacy policies/procedures, and extremely fair employment practices. It just feels good to know they actually mean it when they claim it.

Cons

Like most (very) large organizations, they have many operational silos and could benefit from taking (and implementing) feedback from employee surveys aimed at sharing operational efficiency and modernization.

Pros

Good working culture. It falls a little prey to acting like we're a family and not a business, but at least it doesn't pretend "we work hard, we play hard".

Cons

ELT and upper management have zero vision for the company besides desperately trying to pull up stock prices. Company continues to make deep long-term sacrifices for short term gains, that barely rise above the performance of our competitors. Benefits weaken each year. Example: CVS Caremark now handles RxD insurance, and CVS Caremark is incompetent and exploitative.
