Pros

Pay is decent, unlimited vacation in the US, hybrid work for some roles (though those are going away more and more). If it's this or nothing, take the job but keep looking.

Cons

No consistency in vision or strategy. They have no problem hiring more upper management and then laying off line workers less than a month later. Layoffs. More layoffs. More layoffs are coming. They want to have a cool product, something, anything to keep them afloat. The constant churn and priority switching will not allow them to do that. The entire upper management structure in some divisions is now ex-Amazon people, who want you to work Amazon hours, but without Amazon pay, Amazon benefits, or the Amazon cachet for your resume. If something goes well, it was because of their "great" leadership. If something fails, it was because the line workers didn't try hard enough. They are consistently laying off entire US teams and replacing them with people in other countries who are cheaper, and then wondering why there's no continuation of institutional knowledge. Entire divisions now have less than 3 years of average time across the entire structure, from VP on down.

Pros

Good working culture. It falls a little prey to acting like we're a family and not a business, but at least it doesn't pretend "we work hard, we play hard".

Cons

ELT and upper management have zero vision for the company besides desperately trying to pull up stock prices. Company continues to make deep long-term sacrifices for short term gains, that barely rise above the performance of our competitors. Benefits weaken each year. Example: CVS Caremark now handles RxD insurance, and CVS Caremark is incompetent and exploitative.
