Pros
When I joined over 25 years ago, this was a genuinely great company with a strong culture and leaders who valued their people
Cons
In my experience, that culture has been lost. Since the current MD joined three years ago, the workplace has felt increasingly unempathetic and top-down. Many long-serving, experienced employees have been made redundant in repeated rounds, including a significant round late last year. The human impact on staff and families often feels like an afterthought. What I found most upsetting was the lack of basic recognition. After decades of commitment, there was no goodbye or thank you. Feedback can be positive when you are in favour, but when strategies don’t land as expected, the outcome appears to be further redundancies rather than reflection or accountability. It meant a great deal that a former Managing Director personally reached out to thank me for my contribution — a level of respect I no longer felt from current leadership. Advice to Potential Employees Do your research carefully. What was once a brilliant place to build a career no longer feels that way.
