Pros

Good staff, decent benefits, Good facility. On the good das it can be very straight forward nursing care.

Cons

Nurses are underpaid. the admissions department clearly displays how their only priority is filling up beds. Nurses are the only ones who can perform the tasks for admission, and only recently did they hire 1 nurse to help with all the busy work for it. They will slam a unit with admissions, which many times is unsafe and pulls nurses away from focusing on their patients. Upper management is 50-50 whether they support their staff.

Pros

Working at Hackensack Meridian Health has been a very positive experience, especially when it comes to benefits and employee support. One of the biggest advantages is that health benefits begin almost immediately, which gives employees peace of mind from day one. The medical, dental, and vision coverage options are strong, and there are also additional resources like tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, retirement plans, and employee discounts. The company genuinely invests in its employees and provides tools to support both professional growth and work-life balance. Management and coworkers are generally supportive, and there is a strong team-oriented environment throughout the organization. For anyone looking for stability, solid healthcare coverage, and opportunities to grow within a large healthcare network, Hackensack Meridian Health is a great place to work. The benefits package and overall support for employees make a noticeable difference compared to many other employers in the area.

Cons

not many 90 day probation period
