Pros
Some great customer experiences, book discounts, bonuses throughout the year, and good health insurance.
Cons
Not very culturally diverse. I knew many people come and go because of poor upper management, who showed favoritism to their friends. They'd hire anyone with a pulse as long as they fit their "gamer/nerdy aesthetic" as a result coworkers were xtremely clique oriented. Someone always had a meltdown or anxiety attack, many brought their personal life to work and got away with poor performance because of it. No one was held accountable for their actions except the ones who didn't fit in with the vibe of the store. Long time employees were taken advantage of when it came to scheduling, always had the same people work weekends because new hires wouldn't. Training was given but rarely followed though by General and Assistant manager. People who worked hard and never complaint were under appreciated, but if you whined to managemenr about getting your feelings hurt you were favored. Don't waste more than 6 months here.
