Strong benefits and ownership opportunities, but challenging work-life balance - Anonymous Employee Halff Employee Review

Pros

The benefits package is strong but weakening as costs increase, ok if you are able to negotiate your pay well. The opportunity for ownership in the firm is also a meaningful advantage and can make employees feel more invested in the long-term success of the company. There are also good people here, and if you are able to build genuine connections, those relationships can make the work more rewarding.

Cons

Work-life balance can be challenging in supporting roles. Especially when tasked with extremely tight deadlines. The organization appears to be managing frequent operational changes, complex technology environments, legacy data, and unclear boundaries between departments. These factors can create additional pressure on support teams, especially when responsibilities expand without corresponding headcount planning, workload prioritization, or process simplification. As the business continues to grow and evolve, there is an opportunity to simplify processes, clarify ownership, and better align resources with expectations. Cross-functional collaboration is important, but it works best when each department’s expertise is respected and responsibilities are clearly defined. Flexibility should be balanced with sustainable workloads, clear priorities, and mutual support across teams.

Pros

- Quiet workplace environment - Relatively stable work (team dependent) - Can be a decent place to work depending on your needs/ wants

Cons

Overall, here is a summary of the company: - Some good teams- the company has some stronger departments, whereas others are not well supported in the organization - Poor benefits and compensation, slow progression/ no progression of salary, no yearly adjustments, no sick leave - Cross-team communication & collaboration were consistently very unorganized; each team is operating on very different managerial practices - The environment radiates the low-budget, value-engineered work that the company largely takes on, in terms of personalities within the office, as well as overall company morale. This will work for you if you value the stability it provides, but it will be difficult to advance in this organization if you aren't in alignment.
