Pros
Good pay. Top technology. Highly vertically integrated. Private. Open communication to top management. In-depth market knowledge at all management levels. Improving. Consistent reinvestment in the company's production capabilities and product line up. Multiple product lines and divisions. High product market penetration and still expanding applications. Good work / life balance respected at that individual level. Nice campus setting. Stylish architecture. Reno is actually a great place to live for the weather, less traffic, outdoor sports, vistas, art, restraurants and entertainment.
Cons
Mid-size company evolving into a large company; the risks associated with that and the change in culture from a small tight-knit longterm-oriented team environment to a more process driven bureaucracy. Close working quarters. Could use a cafeteria. Only real high-tech / major league manufacturing-related HQ employment opportunity in town. Nevada ranks last in education which needs to be compensated for. This could change with the continuing influx of California tech company operations, like the Tesla Gigafactory and Apple.
