Pros
Customer interaction (usually) adds something nice to your day, easy to get plenty of time off if you need it, very sympathetic toward those who are injured or have special medical requests. Only working two years there, I was able to move up as a service leader after starting from the very bottom as a bagger. So career opportunities are there for sure, if you want to be stuck there.
Cons
Management is very uptight about the smallest of things, and even if you do come through for whatever needs they need met, you hardly ever get a thank you or recognition. Also, I had absences due to a death in my family and they were NOT excused. I felt as though they just didn't care about me, even though I know if a manager's family member passed, they would have had time for grievance, and plenty of it!!! They aren't very fair and favoritism is a huge part of it. Service leaders were often lazy and I was always picking up their slack, not getting a single ounce of recognition. Also, I felt as though in HR, I could never get an answer for any of my questions regarding my benefits. It was too confusing to even bother with!
