Management often hides information from the CEO until it’s unavoidable, then shifts blame to lower-level staff. During layoffs, it’s typically management who are retained, especially in departments like HR, IT, and Engineering, which suffer the most from poor management. HR management appears untouchable due to personal connections, while IT had some good guys who are gone now as they alluded to poor management decisions as their reason for leaving. Harness has a huge lack of transparency, contradicting stated values. Prospective employees should brace themselves mentally, as reviews reflect real experiences. Despite being an excellent workplace in the past, it seems to have lost its direction
