In my experience, leaders and colleagues really care about you as a person. When I lost my mother, the whole team stepped up and sent me a lovely memento and heartfelt support. We also celebrate our accomplishments and collaborate for success. Also, everyone there shares a passion for serving our patient community. They also provide career development so you can grow into higher level roles.
Cons
As a public hospital system, we may not be able to compete with some others in pay, or in some resources. We make the most with what we have.
