Pros

Great group of social and passionate designers working in the toy design group. Production teams are full of talented professionals with a variety of experience levels. Doesn't feel like the kind of place where you have to climb on the backs of others to be successful.

Cons

Hasbro Studios in Burbank is managed in a wonky way by Hasbro Rhode Island. Space is well designed for toy, packaging, and product development, but not super well designed for animation production. Wish there was some emphasis on creating new content rather than reboots of existing IP, but that's deeply engrained in the strategy of Hasbro (not likely to change). Granted that focus has made Hasbro successful, so I understand that it's not necessary to change.

Pros

- Most of the people (that remain) are great albeit burnt out beyond belief. - The brands (that remain) represent the best of childhood and play around the world. - The Day of Joy, where all of Hasbro takes the day to volunteer in the community, is a genuinely beautiful thing for such a large company to orchestrate.

Cons

- Senior leadership has demolished this company and any shred of employee motivation along with it. - Messages from the top are extremely tone deaf and lack clarity and transparency. - Anyone that hasn’t been laid off (yet) has the workload of about 4 people on their plate. - It’s hard to feel motivated to perform at your best and care about the outcomes when you’re constantly worried if you’ll have a job the next day.
