Pros

Christmas week vacation. Read the reviews and ask yourself this: what does it say about an organization when most positive comments reference time away from the job.

Cons

Leadership style that mirrors the Presidential political landscape of the past four years in more ways than one. Note the tenor of reviews written by line management, particularly from marketing, versus new employees, support staff or obvious plugs from the company. The CEO is the external face of the company for Wall Street, spending time and dwindling resources on projects such as Battleship, Transformers 2-5, GI Joe 1-3 and unfortunately numerous others. Jem, anyone? Actual day-to-day 'do this and do that' rule closely resembles a cult of personality. Clique central! The culture is nightmarish and HR is of little value and complicit in perpetuating bad behavior. Too many employees crying in the hallways as a result. Also note the lack of gender, racial, ethnic and religious diversity across the company, particularly in leadership positions. Shameful. In some ways, the reviews on this site illustrate a glaring juxtaposition. One one hand, you can be shielded from the whims of top executives and the worst of the culture if you work in a support role. I'm sure life isn't as miserable in IT, finance, packaging, HR, etc. Many of them actually have time for lunch and aren't emailing until 10:30pm. And you'll see this in those reviews. On the other hand, work in mid to senior levels in marketing or design and it's a very different world. Read the reviews and study the trends. Choose wisely.

Pros

The compensation and benefits package appeared competitive compared to similar roles in the industry. The team members I met during the interview process were generally personable, professional, and knowledgeable about their work. The company also presents itself as collaborative and employee-focused during recruitment.

Cons

The hiring and onboarding process lacked organization, consistency, and internal alignment. Communication between Talent Acquisition, hiring management, and leadership appeared disconnected, resulting in conflicting information regarding fundamental terms of employment. After progressing through multiple interview rounds and receiving both verbal and written offers, critical details surrounding the position’s reporting expectations and work location changed unexpectedly immediately prior to the anticipated start date. The situation was handled poorly, with inconsistent messaging from different parties and limited accountability for the confusion. Attempts to professionally discuss potential solutions and compromises were met with resistance and ultimately resulted in the offer being rescinded. The overall experience reflected a lack of coordination between departments and created significant concern regarding internal communication, leadership alignment, and employee onboarding practices. For a large, established company, the process felt surprisingly unstructured and reactive.
