Pros
Immediate managers were genuinely interested in my growth. Every person I worked with was great and treated me well, had some great mentors and amazing experiences. Had classes on company time for personal betterment.
Cons
Management typically sends down marching orders with little to no explanation, and those of us lowest on the ladder would have to change course and bare the brunt of the consequences of such decisions. Working with partnered brands made that even worse. Also, if you are at all interested in the craft or artistry aspect of the designer roles then know that there is a ceiling that is quite low, as management is the only path toward high salaries and that means less and less hands on with the art. There was also an instance of sitting through a company-wide meeting where we were told how the company was ludicrously profitable for that given year (a number that sounds similar to bouillons), and yet a series of mass layoffs were enacted in LA about 1-2 years after that... Callous and shrewd business tactics imo.
