Pros

Good benefits and vision when I joined, not sure where it'll go after recent changes Generally above average salaries for the industry Management good in some teams and IT infrastructure offers flexibility and work environment efficiencies that are underrated

Cons

Because benefits and salaries are good, people tend to overstay and get or keep positions they are not relevant for, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't and drags the whole business down, then everyone pays the price Company lacks agility, modern mindsets and skills, most likely because of past successes and irrelevant talent pool, structures and processes Leadership tends to use panic buttons to keep the cashflow running, they are driven by short-term concerns (most likely shareholders-related) and poor market understanding and it shows in decisions Then these decisions lead to failure or tough times and they hurry to cut staff/costs with poor selection of skills and usefulness Because it works out somehow, they'll think they made the right choice but won't look back to see if it was the best choice so there's poor learning and progress Like in most big corporations, lots of backstabbing to be the most visible even if not the most talented or relevant They obviously prefer someone who doesn't make waves instead of someone who will say the truth, but nothing surprising

Pros

- Most of the people (that remain) are great albeit burnt out beyond belief. - The brands (that remain) represent the best of childhood and play around the world. - The Day of Joy, where all of Hasbro takes the day to volunteer in the community, is a genuinely beautiful thing for such a large company to orchestrate.

Cons

- Senior leadership has demolished this company and any shred of employee motivation along with it. - Messages from the top are extremely tone deaf and lack clarity and transparency. - Anyone that hasn’t been laid off (yet) has the workload of about 4 people on their plate. - It’s hard to feel motivated to perform at your best and care about the outcomes when you’re constantly worried if you’ll have a job the next day.
