Pros

The Coach Managers are incredible humans that truly care about us. They do everything they can to improve our experience and decrease burnout but they lack any ability to make any changes or actually support us.

Cons

- Coaches have to work with high-acuity cases that need clinical care more than or at least in addition to coaching. We are told to let our managers know when these cases come up. We do and upper leadership determines we still need to support these members. - Poor communication especially before/during the layoffs. Lots of communication after but communication feels hollow and insincere. The workload will be higher and there is now fear and uncertainty as to who will be laid off next. Middle management was as clueless as we were as to what was happening on the day of the layoffs.

Pros

-they offer great resources for members to utilize -continued education to sharpen your coaching skills

Cons

-there have been so many changes and expectations that are frustrating to navigate -they expect way too much for so little pay and no benefits -this role is so taxing on your own mental health... many of the members that you see aren't a good fit for coaching, so you're also filtering a lot of members for therapy and navigate really heavy mental health conversations that aren't within the scope of coaching -feedback isn't delivered live, it's all put in a spreadsheet that's clearly input by automation
