Pros
Flexibility in scheduling, high hourly pay as compared to base salaries as a full time employee. Work life balance as you determine when you willl and won't work.
Cons
Cancellations occur with less than 24 hour notice although you are penalized for doing the same. You are the first to be sent home in low census regardless of your commute and can be cancelled on site although you are guaranteed 4 hours of pay at this point. I don't recommend this as a full time gig, rather strictly as a PRN unless you can afford to lose out on hours consistently. Shift uncertainty in periods of low census.
