Pros

HOPCo attracts smart, mission-driven people who genuinely care about shaping and improving how healthcare is delivered. The work is intellectually challenging and fast-paced, and you are given exposure to real operational complexity across diverse practices and markets. Leadership expects you to think critically, act independently, and take ownership rather than hide behind hierarchy. If you are motivated by learning, accountability, and building something meaningful, this is a very rewarding environment.

Cons

The pace and expectations are not for everyone; priorities can shift quickly, and the learning curve is steep, especially for those new to healthcare operations or integration work. This is not a plug-and-play role, and people who enjoy rigid structure, are uncomfortable actionizing/pivoting quickly, or need constant direction may struggle.

Pros

Positive workplace culture that fosters collaboration, respect and teamwork. Growth and development opportunities that support both professional and personal advancement. Strong leadership that provides guidance, transparency, and support. Healthy work-life balance allows employees to effectively manage professional and personal life. Regular verbal recognition and appreciation for work and accomplishments.

Cons

Benefits could be more competitive, particularly regarding employee cost-sharing. Health insurance coverage for spouses and families is prohibitively expensive, making it difficult for employees to utilize these options. Some organizational processes would benefit from greater standaization and streamlining to improve efficiency and consistency across teams. There can be instances where decisions or exceptions appear to be influenced by accommodating specific leaders rather than applying policies and procedures consistently across the organization.
