Pros
some pro are a bit hard to state.....the fact that i am working at a Union building, the wonderfull people you meet everyday (residents and nursing staff). the flexibility in scheduling.
Cons
oh my goodness where do i begin? Managers are so stuck up and act like they are better than frontline staff. just a reminder the company would be nothing without us frontliners! When asking question about our rights or about something we read in the handbook, answers are always unclear or left unanswered! your best bet is to get hired and a union ran building other wise why even work for this company. we are being WAY under paid and are harassed to perform a 4 person job in and 8 hr shift (actually less than that) considering we have our breaks (which im surprised we actually get)! they rather budget than make a better name for themselves! i like my job but because the residents make it all worthwhile. The residents are pretty much the only ones who actually appreciate the work you do for them. we get harassed by managment yet they get away with it because its there work against a "housekeeper" ....THE WAY WE ARE TREATED IS ALL AN INJUSTICE! i have been personally harassed by management and shortly after i started loosing my hair, i was unable to sleep, and was even having nightmares, due to stress (emotional and physical) from management.
