Pros

I've been with HCSG for 1 year, including training, and had 5 promotions/raises. The company is growing at a very fast rate, and every building they pick up needs a manager, every 8-12 buildings needs a district manager, etc., so there are always opportunities there for those that are good enough and willing to put the effort in. If you are proactive in your job, and active about obtaining increased responsibility, it doesn't take long to be recognized. You do put in alot of hours as an AM, but if that's not your cup of tea, no one put a gun to your head to take the job, and there isn't one there to keep you. I have found this company to be very reasonable when it comes to compensation: if you are doing more than you feel you're being paid for, look at your job description, if the tasks you're doing aren't there, tell them you aren't doing it without a raise. You can't be fired for that. I've done it three time, and got three raises for it. They actually appreciate people with business sense, and not folks who just cry about being overworked and underpaid.

Cons

Being a fast growing company, the screening process for incoming managers is fairly lax. You are told about the company, showed the job, and if you pass a background check and drug screen, you're usually hired. That create tons of problems because unqualified, poor management at the building level makes live horrible for everyone-their front line staff, other managers in their district, their DM, all the way up. The industry is nickel and dime, profit margins are very low, so cost efficiency is the key to success. That means everyone has an incentive to be as cheap as possible. Unfortunately, front line staff usually get the short end of the stick, since the only decision left to them is to quit or not. Account managers don't put hard working employees up for raises because hey want to keep their average wage down, DMs don't want to pay AMs more because they get a bonus if their buildings hit the target profit margin (and they get chewed out if they don't). Overall, this is a typical, American, capitalistic business. If you don't want to clean floors or rooms for the pay they offer, don't, someone else will be more than willing.

Good Environment, Thoughtful Co-Workers, Overall a great experience

Cons

The person over the area(above management) not the officials tho, That one didn't give to much thought on us. Never got the time from here as the other ones over her did.
