Pros

You get to work with the elderly community

Cons

Far too many to list.. Here is a few! You are expected to live your life for this company. There is no such thing as work life balance. I don't know how it is in other states or cities. In my city though Area Managers and District Managers suck. Expect to be lied to on a consistent basis by Area Managers and District Managers. They will make you send employees home if they are close to overtime and expect Acct Managers to cover those hours employees leave. Area Managers and District Managers get bonuses for keeping cost down. Acct Managers(Glorified Housekeepers) and housekeepers get nothing. My bad they'll give you an appreciation gift card to feed your staff and you. My gift card was $25 for 4 people. You can't buy a happy meal for $6. Most of the time I added my own cash to cover the cost of doing something nice for my employees. I worked 325 days without the offer of help from AM or DM during the pandemic. Also didn't receive any type of hazard pay but I guarantee they sucked up hazard pay money from government. My bad they give a $1000 dollar bonus that was taxed. That's what people's lives were worth during that time and they didn't give it to front line staff. They are an absolute garbage company STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.

Pros

coming to work and greeting residents and some of the staff, that helps me through the day, laughing and joking around, just so I don't think about the negativity that comes with working for hcsg and working in a autumn lake building

Cons

working understaffed meaning 3 and half housekeepers, is not gonna cut it and people go on vacation or sick or just off.. the slack is passed down on us and more so on the manager, the company culture uses him and he can never take time off because he's filling in 100 percent of the time.
