They are some of the best in the business of local news and the internship program is extremely helpful if you are hoping to start a career in news. There are hands-on opportunities to help in the news gathering process and interns are expected to do just that.
Cons
This is not really a con, but opportunities to help are typically not just handed to interns--they are there, but you really have to be a self-starter and reach out for them yourself.
