Pros
Some great and capable people work here. They generally paid well.
Cons
It’s a private equity led organization, so do some reading about what that’s like before considering Helium 10 and Pacvue. This leadership is entirely focused on their exit and don’t prioritize employee development and experience. The organization is the most top-heavy I’ve ever seen in my career. The management layer is extremely bloated. This means there are too many cooks in the kitchen, all the time. Several waves of layoffs since 2022. The feeling among employees is “I can get cut at any moment and it wouldn’t be a surprise.” This is obviously bad for employee morale and engagement. The tech team is in China which makes meeting and communication during business hours very difficult. This is bad for productivity and work life balance. Leaders cycle in and out constantly. A few examples: in 2024 they hired a new General Manager and she was gone 2 quarters later. In 2023 they hired a new Chief Product Officer and he was gone a year later. It’s a pattern. This company is volatile, unfocused, and extremely opaque.
