Pros

When I first started at HelloFresh US, I was taking a risk by coming into a startup when I had spent over 10 years working for well-established companies. The first few months of working here were terrifying. It really is a test of how well YOU can manage yourself and work autonomous from everyone else to really make changes because nobody will do it for you. Do not get me wrong, you will get support from Harvard, Wharton, and MIT grads if you ask for help, but nobody will hold your hand along the way. I enjoy this environment where teams rally around a single cause. We have team members that fly across the country weekly to ensure that the operation runs smoothly in all distribution centers. The Co-CEO responsible for ops knows how to push you to the limit. He has an expectation in his mind of how well you can do that is based on a firm belief that he can get more from people than they believe they can get from themselves. The best work I have ever done has been with this company because of his constant expectation that I should expect more from myself. We have had former employees that could not create significant change and choose to move on to easier jobs. Best of luck to them.

Cons

No cons. I got everything I wanted out of working at HelloFresh and wish them the very best in the future.

Pros

Great product discounts and nice corporate offices.

Cons

Very poorly run company. The distribution center operations is a very toxic boys club, rife with blame culture and senior leadership throwing junior leaders under the bus. Good ideas from the "wrong" people aren't listened to, and bad ideas from the "in crowd" are pushed through – and quickly fail. Building and executing effective training is always seen as a road block, and then used as a scapegoat. Hard to see how things will improve in the current state.
