Pros

-Hourly pay is decent for what you do ($14/hour) -Great Benefits -You get paid well if you make a lot of sales, more than 7/week (But FIRED if you don't) -Some fun weekend events -You can usually get the days off that you need (unless a lot of people are asking for it too such as Halloween, Christmas, or New Years) -Most of the people you work with are awesome! -If you are good at selling, you are rewarded. -Team lunches every blue moon. -If you like doing the same thing every day, this might be the job for you.

Cons

-High turnover. Many people quit or get fired. -It is difficult to make the quota consistently. -Never had a weekend or Holiday off, unless requested. -You do the exact same thing every single meeting and shift. You don't feel mentally stimulated or challenged in any way. -The events include 12 hour mall shifts, 6 hour gym shifts, and pop ups in other stores where we return so often that the same people see our table ALL the time -People buy boxes just to make the quota (or have friends buy them) -If you take the job seriously, it is a high-stress position. -If you are promoted to sales trainer, you don't make any more money than a Brand Ambassador and you still do the exact same thing. -You don't learn any new skills. Once you know the product and are able to sell it, that is the entirety of the position. -Growth within the company is very limited: B.A -> Sales Trainer -> Team Lead -> Manager. However, all positions do pretty much the same thing. -Not a sustainable job to have for more than a year, maybe two years. Most people leave before or around the 6 month mark.

Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed review of your experience on the sales team at HelloFresh. It’s great that you were able to take full advantage of our generous employee benefits, which are available to our employees from the first day of their employment. These benefits include medical, optical, dental, and commuter benefits. We set manageable sales goals for our Brand Ambassadors to meet on a weekly basis, and high-performing employees who meet these goals consistently are rewarded with generous sales commissions and development opportunities. We have developed different pathways for team members on our sales teams to grow their careers at HelloFresh depending on their career goals and aspirations. These include pathways for those who aspire to be managers, and for those who aspire to be high-performing individual contributors. We strive to make HelloFresh a great place to be for our employees, and one way we do that is frequently surveying our employees to find out what they love about HelloFresh. While some members do leave the team, we are constantly looking at ways we can improve the employee experience and retention. Thank you again for sharing this feedback!

Pros

Flexible hybrid environment. In-office requirement is 50% of the month, but there is significant autonomy in how those days are scheduled (eg. you can decide to condense your in-office days the first 2 weeks of the month, and work remotely for the next 2 weeks).

Cons

1- Compensation (particularly base salary) is significantly below market. Reliance on RSU as a major component of the compensation package is problematic, given the company’s stock has severely plummeted over the last 5 years (and continues to do so). 2- Professional development is virtually non-existent. Internal promotions are rare (even for top performers) and highly political. 3- Constant reorganizations and frequent layoffs. It is difficult to feel secure in your position when entire teams are being phased out every few months. 4- Toxic and fear-driven culture. There is a prevalent culture of backchannel feedback and a palpable, constant sense of fear regarding job security and retaliation. 5- Unsustainable business model, still. Service is overly reliant on discounting and promotions, which has negatively impacted brand perception and long-term customer value. Path to sustainable growth is unclear. Leadership also doesn't seem to know what to do, as they frequently pivot strategy, with new directions introduced every few months (if not every few weeks). This lack of consistency creates a sense of instability and leaves teams feeling as though the company lacks a cohesive, long-term vision. 6- Leadership tone. Leaders often lack respect for both employees and the customer base (it is common for them to make derogatory and insulting comments in business meetings about customers who cancel their service).
