Can't say enough good things about this job - Regional Facilities Manager Hendrick Automotive Group Employee Review

Pros

Work-life balance Independence Compensation Reasonable workload expectations Management support Dealership staff culture and relationships Community engagement Resources Benefits Travel Employee pricing

Cons

Any travel job can be burdensome but plan your work and work your plan. They pay for mileage and cover meal expenses plus stay accommodations. There are no upward career movement opportunities at this point in time, which may be a sticking point for those considering an RFM position and want to go into management rather quickly.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
