Engaged Employer

Crazy long hours, you will average 65 to 70 hours per week. Intense training, friendly employees, corporate feel. - Finance Manager Hendrick Automotive Group Employee Review

Pros

On the job training is intense and you will learn a lot, and you will get better at what you do. This place usually promotes from within, so you will have a better chance of moving up in ranks with the company. Benefits are very good here, doctors, dentists, glasses, it's all covered, 401k is 25% match.

Cons

Upper corporate management demands more of you and adds responsibilities to your job as time goes on, and your pay stays the same. Very hard on your family, you'll hardly see them. Your day off is more precious than your paycheck at this place.

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
