Pros

The management is eager to get things going in this new huge facility and the place look great, but that's it.

Cons

They promise you great payments and benefits but what finally arrives on your bank account is just ridiculous if you are not in internet sales and have already a customer base which you bring to this company. $1400/month is the base net salary and from thereon the "sky is the limit". But that's it. 60-80 hours per week are easily on the schedule and the pay finally 50% of WALMART. Sales Associates are constantly manipulated and motivated but the volume of customers (on the weekend) stands in no relation to the count of sales staff. 50 visitors on a Saturday are handled by 18 (!) Sales Associates and finally 5 cars sold. Within the week it's mostly slow or dead. You can't make a living with that. Pure panic within 70% of the employees is standard.

Pros

I enjoy meeting our customers. No days are the same. Flexible schedule. I'm the face of Hendrick GM parts and understand the importance of my role in keeping our customer base and expanding it.

Cons

None. I have great support and I bring back information that helps determine decisions to improve sales.

Pros

Solid corporation Corporate culture is positive Community initiatives are second to none Free health care Freedom to move

Cons

It's sales. When the economy is soft, commissions can be tight. Most locations work on a volume pay plan rather than gross profit. Most of your coworkers' primary qualification is the ability to fog a mirror. While you can largely come and go as you please, it's still expected that you are on the lot no less than 50 hours a week, leaving very little room for work-life balance.
