Pros

It's a job right now. If you need a stepping stone to a better job this may be a place to get your feet wet.

Cons

Chicago Management is terrible! The manager here has no medical experience so do not expect to learn anything or get support from him while working here. Inability to mentor, does not return phone calls or follow up on leads you may want to pursue. Quick to hang his sales force out to dry to protect a job he has no reason being in, does not communicate well with customers and has been asked by customers to not come back. Sales force is not sure what he does as he does not support them in the field. Midwest manager who is his boss is not much better as he will cover for this infidel to save his own job! This will not get better until the Midwest manager and Sales Manager are gone. Rumors are HS Chicago used to be on top and sales were good; well, at least 15 people have left in the past 5 years, mostly seasoned experienced reps. You do the math!

Pros

Henry Schein has a genuinely collaborative culture where teamwork and respect are part of daily work life. Leadership is supportive and encourages open communication, professional development, and continuous learning. There are great opportunities to grow your skill set, especially through cross functional work with teams across pricing, product data, sales, and operations. Work–life balance is solid, the company has remote opportunities and is a respected leader in the healthcare industry. I also appreciate the company’s commitment to community outreach and social responsibility—it reinforces that we’re working for a mission-driven organization.

Cons

Like most large organizations, processes can sometimes feel slow due to the number of teams involved. Change management can take time, and cross-department alignment requires patience. However, leadership has been taking steps to improve workflows and increase efficiency.
