Great TSM's, Horrible "leadership" - Inbound Henry Schein Employee Review

Pros

The Inbound team members work tirelessly for this company, often without thanks or recognition and frequently without support from the “leadership” or IM group. The “quality” that the customer receives starts with the Inbound team’s hard work. This team deserves better support from local “leadership”, senior management and the IM group.

Cons

Originally when I took over the position I felt the biggest challenge would stem from lack of systems and discipline of the team. However, I quickly realized that inflated egos, dirty office politics and administrative incompetence would prove to be bigger obstacles. The total disregard for professionalism, honesty, integrity and values demonstrated by the “leadership” of this Distribution center take away from the positive experiences and cheapens the “Henry Schein Values” that are preached but not followed. These dynamics are not conducive to building a strong team, innovation or productivity.

Pros

Henry Schein has a genuinely collaborative culture where teamwork and respect are part of daily work life. Leadership is supportive and encourages open communication, professional development, and continuous learning. There are great opportunities to grow your skill set, especially through cross functional work with teams across pricing, product data, sales, and operations. Work–life balance is solid, the company has remote opportunities and is a respected leader in the healthcare industry. I also appreciate the company’s commitment to community outreach and social responsibility—it reinforces that we’re working for a mission-driven organization.

Cons

Like most large organizations, processes can sometimes feel slow due to the number of teams involved. Change management can take time, and cross-department alignment requires patience. However, leadership has been taking steps to improve workflows and increase efficiency.
