Pros

I cannot think of one single redeeming quality about this employer, however you will be in contact with several other companies in the industry and can develop a great professional network with some time.

Cons

No collaboration between sales & marketing, or sales & leadership, or any departments for that matter. Some of the worst support from direct management you'll ever experience. Nepotism is at an all-time high and advancement is based purely on who you know and not what you have accomplished. For this reason, leadership has become some of the weakest in the industry. A recent cyber attack lasting about 6-8 months was a much-needed peak behind the curtain for many customers and industry partners who have rightfully began leaving Henry Schein in record numbers. This once-great company will never repeat their former success unless a massive overhaul in middle and upper management takes place in the near future. Please do yourself a favor and consider working ANYWHERE else.

Pros

Henry Schein has a genuinely collaborative culture where teamwork and respect are part of daily work life. Leadership is supportive and encourages open communication, professional development, and continuous learning. There are great opportunities to grow your skill set, especially through cross functional work with teams across pricing, product data, sales, and operations. Work–life balance is solid, the company has remote opportunities and is a respected leader in the healthcare industry. I also appreciate the company’s commitment to community outreach and social responsibility—it reinforces that we’re working for a mission-driven organization.

Cons

Like most large organizations, processes can sometimes feel slow due to the number of teams involved. Change management can take time, and cross-department alignment requires patience. However, leadership has been taking steps to improve workflows and increase efficiency.
