Pros

The products this company sells really are great products and they truly believe in the well being for pets. This small, mother and daughter run company is very passionate in what they do and I have used the products on my dog and have recommended it to family and friends. For a designer right out of school, I was given a lot of responsibility and was able to work on many different kinds of project. My initial expectation was to focus on web design, but spent most of my time on traditional graphic design such as print, packaging, and marketing. Benefits: Dental, 401k, free dog food for employees, and you can take your dog to work

Cons

No PTO for 1 year (then only 5 days at year mark) No health insurance. Although the hours of 8:00-4:30 are very reasonable, there is limited flexibility to change those hours if needed. Pretty rigid culture as employees were not encouraged to collaborate or talk to coworkers during business hours. They seem to have a high turnaround rate. Many employees stayed less than a year.

Pros

I worked at Herbsmith for almost a year and genuinely enjoyed my time there. The team is welcoming, supportive, and passionate about the company's mission. If you put your heart into your work, you'll feel right at home. The culture is positive and engaging, with activities like card games and potlucks that help bring people together. Everyone is approachable and willing to help one another succeed. One of the things I appreciated most was the opportunity to learn and grow. There was always someone willing to share knowledge or offer guidance. Employees are encouraged to share ideas and feedback, and leadership is open to suggestions that can help improve the company. Overall, Herbsmith is a great place to work if you're looking for a collaborative environment where you can learn, contribute, and enjoy working with your team.

Cons

There are none to be honest.

Micro managing, not as open to feedback as they portrayed, considers collaborating with other workers gossip, low pay, high workload, no PTO, no benefits, disorganized, constant issues
